WordPress Engineer (English Fluency)

WHAT WE DO

At Sun Asterisk, we build cutting-edge, high-performance systems to tackle complex challenges. As a developer, you will:

  • Build custom WordPress themes and templates based on Figma.
  • Develop and maintain WooCommerce-based eCommerce functionality.
  • Customize plugins or develop new ones as needed for client requirements.
  • Ensure websites are responsive, performant, SEO-friendly, and accessible.
  • Integrate third-party services such as CRMs, email platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Implement tracking, marketing pixels, and A/B test hooks (GTM, Facebook Pixel, etc.).
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate brand identity into engaging frontend experiences.

WHO YOU ARE

#Experience Requirements
Mandatory Skills:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with WooCommerce, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), and Elementor or Gutenberg.
  • Ability to build custom themes and templates from scratch.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization (Lighthouse, caching, image compression).
  • Experience with Git, version control, and deployment pipelines.
  • Comfortable working in agency settings and managing multiple projects in parallel.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical teams.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Shopify, React, or Next.js is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of Headless WordPress (e.g., REST API, GraphQL).
  • Familiarity with Docker-based local development environments.
