Data Engineer (English Fluency)
WHAT WE DO
At Sun Asterisk, we build cutting-edge, high-performance systems to tackle complex challenges. As a developer, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python.
- Integrate various data sources into a centralized data warehouse on Amazon Redshift.
- Work with the in-house team and CTO to define data models and deliver analytical datasets.
- Optimize data ingestion and transformation processes for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with BI engineers and product stakeholders to support reporting and dashboards using AWS QuickSight.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and pipeline observability.
WHO YOU ARE
#Experience Requirements
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong programming skills in Python for data transformation and scripting.
- Experience with AWS Redshift and understanding of modern Data Warehousing principles.
- Familiarity with SQL performance tuning, partitioning, and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines (Airflow is a plus).
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs, databases, or card transaction systems is a big plus.
- Good communication skills in English, with the ability to work with distributed teams.
- Willingness to attend occasional evening meetings (Vietnam time) for alignment with U.S./India team.
Desired Skills
- Experience with AWS QuickSight for building dashboards and BI reporting.
