WHO WE ARE

Since 2014, Sun* has been running the xseeds project, which inherited the ODA’s HEDSPI project. This initiative focuses on developing highly skilled IT professionals.

Through this project, we provide Japanese language classes to approximately 2,000 students at top universities in four countries, including Vietnam. We also offer them job opportunities in Japan via our platform, xseedsHub.

• What is the “HEDSPI” Project at Hanoi University of Science and Technology?
• This project began in 2006 at Hanoi University of Science and Technology as a Japanese government ODA initiative. Its goal was to cultivate highly skilled IT professionals proficient in Japanese. Sun* (formerly Framgia) took over the project after the ODA period concluded in 2014.

WHAT WE DO

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach Japanese classes ranging from Beginner to N1 levels at the university (covering conversation, linguistic knowledge, etc.)
• Ensure the quality of Japanese language training adheres to the partner university’s learning outcomes and the company’s standards
• Support students participating in recruitment/selection events as needed
• Engage in curriculum development and execution, as well as the mentorship of local teaching staff
• Perform other related duties as requested by the organization

Class Details / Teaching Contents:

• Beginner Japanese classes using “”Minna no Nihongo””
• Intermediate Japanese classes
• JLPT preparation courses and conversation classes
• Interview preparation for employment in Japan
• Teaching load: 16–20 periods per week (50 minutes per period)”

WHO YOU ARE

• Workdays: Monday – Friday
• Working Hours: Primarily 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour break)

Please note: Daily start times may vary depending on the university curriculum

Requirements / Mandatory

• Bachelor’s degree (required for Work Permit acquisition)
• Minimum 3 years of Japanese language teaching experience (required for Work Permit acquisition)
• You will be asked to submit an employment certificate upon receiving a job offer
• Must meet one of the following criteria:
  • Graduated from a university with a major or minor in Japanese language education
  • Completed over 420 hours of training in a Japanese language teacher training program
  • Passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test

Preferred Qualifications / Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Japanese Language Education, Applied Linguistics, Pedagogy, or related fields
• Experience in curriculum design, teaching material development, and classroom improvement
• Experience in leadership roles such as Head Teacher, Team Leader, or Coordinator
• Experience in mentoring/training junior teachers and planning/conducting training sessions

• Salary: $1,500 – $2,500 (GROSS)
