WHO WE ARE

Since 2014, Sun* has been running the xseeds project, which inherited the ODA’s HEDSPI project. This initiative focuses on developing highly skilled IT professionals.

Through this project, we provide Japanese language classes to approximately 2,000 students at top universities in four countries, including Vietnam. We also offer them job opportunities in Japan via our platform, xseedsHub.

  • What is the “HEDSPI” Project at Hanoi University of Science and Technology?

This project began in 2006 at Hanoi University of Science and Technology as a Japanese government ODA initiative. Its goal was to cultivate highly skilled IT professionals proficient in Japanese. Sun* (formerly Framgia) took over the project after the ODA period concluded in 2014.

WHAT WE DO

Role of a Japanese Language Teacher in the xseeds Project:

  • As a Japanese language teacher in the xseeds project, you’ll be responsible for providing essential Japanese language instruction, from university enrollment through to securing employment at Japanese companies
  • You’ll teach beginner to upper-intermediate level classes and conduct JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) preparation
  • To foster future innovators, your teaching will extend beyond just Japanese. You’ll also guide students on fundamental professional mindsets, manners, and conduct
  • We continuously update our educational plans to ensure we’re nurturing the best future innovators. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in curriculum planning, operation, and the training of local Japanese language teachers

Class Content: 

  • Beginner Japanese classes using “Minna no Nihongo”
  • Intermediate Japanese classes
  • JLPT preparation classes and conversation classes
  • Interview preparation for employment in Japan
  • You’ll be responsible for 16 to 20 lessons per week (each lesson is 45 minutes)

WHO YOU ARE

Working Conditions:

  • Working days: Monday to Friday
  • Working hours: Basically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)

Note: Working hours may vary depending on the university’s class schedule (early start or late finish may be required, with compensatory time off provided)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and arrange appropriate teaching staff in accordance with the training programs
  • Manage and ensure training quality based on the partner university’s learning outcomes and the company’s overall standards
  • Participate in staff evaluation and training activities
  • Conduct Japanese language classes from beginner (Shokyu) to N1 level when necessary
  • Support students during Job Fair participation when required
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the organization

Application Requirements:

<Mandatory Requirements>

For Japanese Candidates:

  • Graduation from a 4-year university (mandatory for Work Permit application)
  • Must meet one of the following conditions:
    • At least 3 years of experience teaching Japanese, or
    • At least 3 years of practical working experience in the IT field (mandatory for Work Permit application)
  • After being hired, submission of an official certificate of employment history is required

For Vietnamese Candidates

  • JLPT N1 level or above
  • At least 1 year of experience teaching Japanese

<Preferred Qualifications>

  • Experience in management roles such as homeroom teacher, team leader, or group leader
  • A Master’s degree in Japanese Language Education, Applied Linguistics, Education, or related fields
  • Experience in curriculum design, teaching material development, and improvement of educational quality
  • Experience in mentoring and training junior teachers, as well as planning and implementing training programs

<Ideal Candidate Profile>

  • Ability to collaborate with other teachers and relevant departments, working as a team to achieve effective educational outcomes
  • Proactive mindset in identifying issues within the educational environment, from proposing improvements to executing solutions
  • Strong interest in enhancing educational quality and building teaching processes and operational frameworks
  • Ability to view Japanese language education and student employment support from an organizational and systemic perspective

BENEFITS AND PERKS

  • Salary: VND 25,000,000 – 50,000,000 per month (Gross)
  • For Japanese Employees, the company provides:
